Carcass classification
Animalia is responsible for administering the carcass classification system in Norway, and for inspecting that classification is practised equally all over the country in accordance with official regulations.

Training and certification of classifiers is an important task for Animalia. |
Our activities include training and certification of classifiers, inspections and counselling of licensed classifiers, as well as evaluation of the different abattoir’s classification results by carcass precision cutting controls. Animalia is also engaged in development of new classification systems and methods.
