Food safety
Food safety is another key issue for Animalia. Working via the industry, we seek practical solutions to unsolve or emerging health risks in order to provide the consumers with safe meat products.

Animalia have developed a hygiene e-learning programme intended for the meat industry. |
Animalia promote food safety by:
- Updating the Norwegian meat industry on crucial issues.
- Preventing pathogens from entering or establishing themselves in Norwegian livestock.
- Controlling pathogens in Norwegian meat plants.
- Promoting hygiene measures throughout slaughtering, cutting, processing and storage.
- Developing systems for analysis, documentation and control of hygiene.
Hygiene Audits
We have developed an audit system that provides weighed hygienic assessments of critical points (operations) during the pig slaughtering process. The Hygiene Audit is a thorough assessment of the factors that influence hygienic quality. The Hygiene Audit helps the staff and management in the abattoirs to instigate the appropriate resources that will produce maximum hygienic rewards.
Hygiene-E-learning
Animalia have also developed a hygiene e-learning programme intended for the meat industry. This course meets the official Norwegian requirements for food hygiene education. Please contact us for more information. Animalia also provides a series of traditional hygiene courses to promote and motivate optimal hygiene in meat production. These courses are arranged on request.
