Animalia offers state of the art competence in meat technology and processing. Our main focus is on optimising processes, improving yield and quality.

Animalia has extensive international contacts in the field of dry-cured meat, mainly in the mediterranian region.

We conduct research, promote and undertake generic measures to improve pork and beef, as well as mutton and lamb quality along the value chain.

Animalia has in-depth knowledge on fresh and dry cured meat. Through our extensive international contacts and with the industry’s increasing focus on dry cured meat, we have initiated and led a development project introducing Norwegian long-term dry, cured ham from pork and lamb, – all based on domestic raw materials and traditions.

To succeed with these products requires knowledge and targeted actions throughout the whole production process, – from animal breeding and feeding via slaughtering and cutting, and of course through carefully curing and maturing.
