CELLDAS: Robotic Cutting of Pork

Automation is important for the Norwegian meat industry due to challenges in recruiting labor. It also helps reduce occupational health and safety risks, and offers a major advantage in ensuring consistent work quality.

This film presents MAYEKAWA’s CELLDAS robotic platform. CELLDAS uses different programs to perform cutting operations automatically. In this film, the hip bone and tail bone are removed from ham raw material – a common operation in the preparation of dry-cured ham production.

CELLDAS is installed at Fatland Oslo for operational use and for further development of programs and technology. Animalia supports Fatland and MAYEKAWA in the development of the technology.
